"Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people..." — 1 Peter 2:9
We believe in one holy catholic (universal) church — the communion of saints in every age and land. The local congregation is a covenant family: bound to God and to one another, gathered around Word and sacrament, sent out in witness and service.
A Covenant Family
From Abraham onward, God has dealt with His people through covenant — “I will be your God, and ye shall be my people” (Genesis 17:7; Hebrews 8:10). Membership in PCEA is entered through baptism and public confession of faith, and lived out in communion, fellowship, discipline and mutual care — “members one of another” (Romans 12:5).
The Priesthood of All Believers
Every Christian has direct access to God through Christ — and every member is called to ministry. Church life at Nkoroi is not a spectator event: it is the shared calling of elders and deacons, Guild and PCMF, youth and children — each member serving with the gifts the Spirit gives (1 Corinthians 12).
