"The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all." — Psalm 103:19
At the heart of the Reformed faith stands a great and comforting truth: God reigns. Our Father ordains and upholds all things — from the rise and fall of nations to the hairs of our head (Matthew 10:29-31). Nothing in creation is outside His wise and loving providence.
Comfort for Everyday Life
Because God is sovereign, believers can face uncertainty, loss and hardship with deep confidence: all things work together for good to those who love Him (Romans 8:28). His purposes stand — and they are purposes of grace toward His people, chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:3-11).
Sovereignty does not make us passive; it makes us bold. We work, pray and witness freely — knowing the outcome rests in the hands of the One who rules over all.
