Do Not Covet
This Sunday’s lectionary: Sunday Oct 18 — Lectionary Year A
Scripture for Today
Exodus 20:17; Luke 12:15
Read the full passage in your Bible, then pause to let the Holy Spirit apply it to your heart.
Thought for the Day
Covetousness is worship of what we lack. Contentment is worship of what God has already given.
Sunday Lectionary
Sunday Oct 18 — Lectionary Year A
Read the passages in advance and come ready to hear the Word preached on Sunday.
Prayer for Families
Lord of heaven, watch over the families of our church and community. Strengthen marriages, guide our children, comfort the lonely and provide for every need. Make our homes little sanctuaries of Your presence. Amen.
